How do I join?

Sign up for our mailing list at Club Fair or Street Festival, or come to our General Meeting in September. If you miss these days, please email us at yundancecrew@gmail.com or fill our our Inquiries Form and we’ll help set you up. *

Do I need previous experience?

Nope! We have teams and choreography that suit dancers of all skill levels. We welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about Chinese Dance! *

*Joining the Intermediate and Advanced teams require a level assessment – Beginner team is open to all (Find out about our classes here)

How much is the membership fee?

Our membership fee is $10 per year.

This fee goes towards helping us organize internal social activities, subsidizing costumes, and other various costs.

Do we have to buy our own costumes?

Yes.

We try to subsidize what we can, but we cannot cover the full cost of new pieces. However, we try to reuse costumes where we can, and lighten the financial load for our members.

What is the time committment like?

The time committment depends on the team and choreography. In general, as the complexity of the dance increases, the longer the rehearsal time. For example, Advanced team practices will be longer than Intermediate and Beginner team practices.

Rehearsals will usually take place on the weekends, on St. George Campus.
